Tchanged its name to brand, but the camera brand's logo is the same as before. HOYA Corporation Pentax Imaging Systems Division is pleased to announce the launch of the new Pentax Optio E60 compact digital camera, a camera class entry that is easy to use and has a number of effective pixels approx. 10.1 megapixel increase, which allows even beginners to enjoy high definition images. In addition to using easily obtainable AA batteries as a power source, the Pentax E60 is newly equipped with a 3 x optical zoom lens that allows for a wide viewing angle. This makes it easy to photograph group shots indoors as landscapes in a range that is larger than conventional models.

The new Pentax E60 comes with convenient functions that are useful when travelling, such as a function of time in the world and the function date Imprint, making it a model that allows memories from trips to be easily photographed in high image quality. Pentax Optio E60 has a number of effective pixels approx. 10.1 megapixel improved, which is the level of a camera class main entrance. Through a high-performance Pentax lens and a new image processing engine with improved processing performance, high-quality images are possible even when it is stretched large photos.

The Face Recognition AF & AE automatically detects the faces of the subjects in the frame and automatically sets the optimum exposure. Moreover, the Pentax Optio E60 also is equipped with new functions that apply face detection technology, which the half-length portrait mode that cuts the area around the person recognized and automatically takes a picture, males of the person on the basis of the information. A mode that reduces camera shake and subject blur when photographing still images. The sensitivity is adjusted automatically to as high as the high sensitivity of ISO 6400, to match the brightness of the subjects. In this way for photography with shutter speeds and images with less Blur can be obtained.
